Paul is an English born, Los Angeles-based improv performer. Before moving to LA, Paul worked with all of the UK's major improv groups, including the Comedy Store Players, the Spontaneity Shop, Theatresports, Spontaneous Combustion, and the Impro Musical.
He has represented England at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival three times, and at international festivals and tournaments such as Berlin, London, Leicester and Seattle ("I cannot ever remember laughing so much at a comedy gig", Leicester Mercury).
He was at the forefront of development of Long Form improv in the UK, and is a member of the cast of 'Court in the Act', an improvised courtroom drama show which played at the Canal Café Theatre, the Watford Palace Theatre, and the Chichester Festival Theatre. He performed with 'Eddie Izzard and friends' at the Ambassadors Theatre, and in the improvising double act The Sean Connery Brotherhood with Patrick Marber.
Paul has appeared with overseas groups such as Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, On the Spot in Montreal, and Die Gorillas in Berlin.
Working in LA with Impro Theatre, he co-produced, co-directed and performed in Jane Austen Unscripted at Theatre Asylum in Hollywood, ("Hilarious", LA Times), and also appeared in their improvised versions of Dickens, Shakespeare and Tennessee Williams. He has also worked in LA with Off The Wall and LA Connection.
He has taught workshops for over fifteen years for a number of groups including Theatresports and the Comedy School (www.thecomedyschool.com), and also in a corporate setting.
